LT Caring Community

HOLDING UP & ONTO ONE ANOTHER: Our Temple-Community Network of Support

In moments of loss…in dealing with illness…in facing the life-challenges aging can bring, from our door to yours, we share your concern, and so extend our hearts and helping hands…

Extending Our Care....

With all of the uncertainty we are facing, if you are feeling the need to talk, we are here…Please call any of our clergy team anytime:

Rabbi Sirkman’s cell is 914-309-1499
Cantor Scher’s cell is 718-490-9502
Rabbi Frankel’s cell is 917-716-1170

We are here with spiritual support & caring concern, as is our LT Caring Community.

If you are alone, or are needing help, our Caring Community volunteers are here for you. We are available to help with errands, like picking up a prescription or a gallon of milk, or to check in with a friendly phone call. We also have a number of our teens who can provide remote computer support. Unfortunately we cannot offer rides or visits during this time of social distancing.

If you need help or want to offer to provide help, you can contact our LT Caring Community Co-Chairs anytime:

Carolyn Kamlet at 914-391-6923 or
Juli Karson at 914-381-3007 or

Likewise, in this moment when many are alone, we encourage you to reach out—via cell or text or FaceTime or email. Connect with an old temple friend, or a new acquaintance. The magic of technology enables us to feel that human touch without ever leaving our living room…And a friendly voice or face reminds us we are linked through a community of care.
