Our Kindergarten – Grade 3 learners gather weekly on Sunday mornings (10 am – 12 pm) for Camp LT. Based on a day camp model, our learners are led by specialists (Art, Storahtelling, Hebrew and more) and Madrichim (counselors) in joyful and engaging learning that explore being a mensch (a good person), the synagogue, singing, prayer, Torah and Jewish Hero stories, Israel, Hebrew Through Movement, Jewish values and holidays.

 Grade 4

Sundays 10 am – 12 noon

Weekly 30 min online (choice of days given) or Wednesday In-Person Hebrew learning

Our weekly Grade 4 learners start the Journey of Becoming B’nei Mitzvah process though experiencing community building and engaging Jewish learning activities every week. Their focus is upon middot - Jewish values, Jewish holidays, Hebrew Prayer decoding, interpreting Torah stories, specialty electives such as art and drama, Israel, and learning the Friday night Shabbat service at our weekly Tefillah prayer service. Every other year, Grade 4 learners join with the Grade 5 community for a retreat up at the URJ Eisner Camp. Hebrew  will be offered for 30 minutes online with a choice of days, or in person on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:15 pm with an option to stay for Club LT (informal and social Jewish activities) from 4:15 - 5 pm.

 Grade 5

Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Weekly 30 min online (choice of days given) or Mondays In-Person Hebrew Learning

Our weekly Grade 5 learners experience community building and engaging Jewish learning activities every week and focus upon Jewish Peoplehood, Jewish History, Israel, 4-weeks of a Yad Vashem Holocaust curriculum, Jewish holidays, Hebrew Prayer Decoding, learning the Friday evening Shabbat service at Tefillah prayer services and more. Every other year, Grade 5 learners join with the Grade 4 community for a retreat up at the URJ Eisner Camp. Hebrew will be offered for 30 minutes online with a choice of days, or in person on Mondays from 3:30 - 4:15 pm with an option to stay for Club LT (informal and social Jewish activities) from 4:15 - 5 pm.

 Grade 6

Tuesdays 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Weekly 45 min online (choice of days given) or Mondays In-Person Hebrew Learning

Our weekly Grade 6 learners experience community building and engaging Jewish learning activities every week and focus upon the Jewish life cycle, Making a Difference in Our World, Jewish holidays, 4-weeks of a Yad Vashem Holocaust learning unit, Hebrew Prayer reading and fluency, learning the Saturday Shabbat morning service at Tefillah prayer services and more. Grade 6 families all join together in the fall for a Grade 6 Family Shabbaton to delve into the Journey of Becoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah process.  Hebrew  will be offered for 45 minutes online with a choice of days, or in person on Mondays from 3:30 - 4:15 pm with an option to stay for Club LT (informal and social Jewish activities) from 4:15 - 5 pm. 

If your Grade 6 learner has an “early” Bar or Bat Mitzvah scheduled for the Fall of 2022, please click here to understand when he/she/they will participate in the Journey of Becoming B'nei Mitzvah with the Clergy on Tuesday afternoons.
