Songs of freedom, rebellion, celebration, tradition, independence, loss, hope, decay and renewal - this is the music of Sam Sadigursky's The Solomon Diaries. Originally inspired by the fascinating rise and fall of the Borscht Belt, these songs took on a new meaning in the wake of the global pandemic. Sadigursky's unique take on Jewish music combines numerous folk, world and jazz influences with a classical sense of harmony and deep love of improvisation.

Sadigursky and Koci have recently been at work on a double album of this material which will be out later this year, parts of which they will debut here. They will also present some live video shot in late 2019 and early 2020 and lead an interactive Q&A with participants.

Clarinetist Sam Sadigursky was featured onstage in the Tony and Grammy Award winning The Band's Visit and most recently became a member of the Philip Glass Ensemble. He's joined by accordionist and multi-instrumentalist Nathan Koci, most recently music director of Daniel Fish's acclaimed Broadway production of Oklahoma!.
