Summer Opportunities:

CHOOSE FROM ONE OF THESE GREAT SUMMER OPTIONS:

 

Larchmont Temple Summer Day Camp - LTSD is looking for counselors and specialty staff! Head to the LTSD Camp Website to learn about the opportunity to work with Larchmont Temple’s youngest members. (LTSD is a program for Nursery School aged children)

URJ Eisner and Crane Lake Camps - Two of fourteen camps run by the Union for Reform Judaism, Eisner and Crane Lake Camps are in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains.

The URJ Joseph Eisner Camp for Living Judaism in Great Barrington, MA, runs programs for campers from 2nd through 10th grade. In 11th grade campers go on a NFTY in Israel Trip and serve as Machon (CIT’s) as entering 12th graders.

The URJ Crane Lake Camp in West Stockbridge, MA, runs programs for campers 3rd through 10th grade. In 11th grade campers go on a NFTY in Israel Trip and serve as Machon (CIT’s) as entering 12th graders.

URJ Sci-Tech Academy
At URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy, scientific inquiry meets fun! Housed on the campus of the Governor’s Academy outside of Boston, this program offers a top-quality educational program along with access to the best and brightest minds in the Jewish science and technology community. URJ Six Points Sports Academy
Located on the campus of the American Hebrew Academy in Greensboro, NC, Jewish athletes participate in top-level sports training alongside the beloved traditions of Reform Jewish camping. For more information, please click here.

High School

URJ Kutz Camp in Warwick, NY is the summer home of NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) for entering 10th – 12th Graders. Aa campus-style program designed for high school students who are looking for a challenging, intense program, participants choose a major and electives, creating a unique summer experience. NFTY in Israel: Eperience Israel like never before with an amazing 4-6 week high school travel program. Spend the summer hiking, climbing, discovering, and exploring with new friends from across North America. Click here to learn more about NFTY in Israel.

Mitzvah Corps: Help repair the world with this incredible social action program, combining direct hands-on involvement for communities in need. Social action, volunteering, friends, and fun are all part of the Mitzvah Corps experience. Choose from the following Mitzvah Corps programs: New Orleans, Pacific Northwest, Urban Mitzvah Corps: New Jersey, Mitzvah Corps at Kutz, and Mitzvah Corps Chicago. Special Needs
Each URJ camp has Inclusion Coordinators who are trained professionals hired to support campers with special needs. The URJ Eisner camp also has a family camp called Camp Chazak. For more information about these programs, please click here.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Larchmont Temple Summer Scholarships Larchmont Temple is dedicated to sending our children and youth to immersive Jewish experiences to deepen our learners’ Jewish experiences and learning. All children and youth of Larchmont Temple members are eligible to apply for scholarship for immersive Jewish summer programs such as camp, specialty programs and travel programs. Individuals who are awarded a scholarship may be asked to share their experiences with the Temple community in a short written paragraph or at a camp presentation. Scholarships are awarded based on need. All applications will be confidential and are due no later than February 1, 2017. Foundation for Jewish Camp’s "One Happy Camper" Incentive Grant: Through a One Happy Camper program grant, first time campers to a non-profit Jewish overnight summer camp are eligible to receive a grant of $1000 off summer tuition!
