Congregants who participate in LT Cares, learn together, and work together to support those in need by reaching out to LT members who have lost a loved one, are ill, homebound or serve as caregivers.
Last temple year, LT Cares sponsored a series of three workshops open to all congregants. The first session was entitled: “Condolence Calls & Supporting Shiva.” The second session was: “Bringing Light to Others: Visiting the Sick & Elderly.” And, the third session was “The Caregiver.”
These sessions were very productive, well attended, and spoke to the current challenges so many of us face.
This temple year, join us as we meet on a regular basis to offer support to each other and to our congregation.
Our hope is to start off all together when we meet at 7:45 P.M. for a little prayer and tonesetter text. We will then break out in separate rooms to continue our focus on: 1. visiting the sick, 2. loss of a loved one and 3. Caregiving. Each support session will be facilitated by a group leader with experience in that area.
In the meantime, know that our doors are always open…you can always reach out to any member of our clergy team:
Thankfully, Carolyn Kamlet will continue to help us coordinate our LT Cares efforts and she can be reached at Carolyn.Kamlet@gmail.com
Stay tuned for future dates...
