Services tonight are at 8 PM. 

Next Friday, April 4, I hope you will join our Temple community as we celebrate the renovation of the LT Nursery School and the dedication of the Rae Schupack Nathan Early Childhood Center. We will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Kabbalat Shabbat Service in the Sanctuary. At 7:15 p.m. there will be a Dedication Ceremony in the Blum Building lobby followed by a Wine & Cheese reception and tour of the renovated classrooms. Plan to join family and friends at the first Spring “First Friday” Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday, April 4th.The evening begins with a special 6:30pm family–friendly Shabbat Service followed by a lovely buffet Shabbat dinner beginning at 7:15pm. Please note that there will not be 8:00pm congregational services on April 4th. There will be craft activities for the children during dinner! The cost for dinner is $25 per adult and 13 years and over, $12 per child 6-12 years; $6 per child 1-5 years; children under 1 year are free. Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 1st to Shari Levine at sblev@optonline.net. Checks payable to Larchmont Temple may be brought to the dinner.  Additionally, as the temple is responsible to cover the cost of all reservations, once you RSVP, we appreciate you notifying us at least 24 hours prior to the dinner if your plans change, otherwise we will look to you to cover the cost of your reservation.

Grants are available for LT students attending Jewish summer camps and programs:Is your child going to a Jewish summer camp (i.e. Eisner, Kutz, NFTY Israel trip or some other program sponsored by a Jewish organization)?  Larchmont Temple students in grades K-12 who are enrolled in Religious School programs and/or LarFTY are eligible to apply for a grant to be applied to the camp's tuition.  Grants are awarded based on need and/or merit.

Applications are available on the Temple website: www.LarchmontTemple.org and in the Temple Office.    All applications are confidential.  The 2087 deadline for applying for this summer is April 30, 2007.  Grants will be awarded several weeks after the deadline.  If you have any questions please call: Judi Dichter 833-0722

Interested in working at the Judaica Shop?  The shop will be open on Sunday, April 6 and Sunday, April 13 from 9:45am - 12:15pm and a few volunteers are needed to work.  If you are interested, please contact Dani Zucker at dani0123@msn.com

The Judaica shop has many new items for Passover including Seder plates, Haggadahs, and matzoh covers.  The shop will be open on the above dates.  If you cannot make it on either of those dates but would like to purchase something from the shop, please feel free to call Dani Zucker 833-7309, Lori Herbsman 833-5831, or Nancy Davilman 834-7793 to meet you at the shop at a mutually convenient time.

Spring Blood Drive: Please mark your calendar for the Spring Blood Drive, sponsored by the Brotherhood, which will be held on Sunday,  April 6, 2008, from 8:30 to 12:30 at the Temple.  Larchmont Temple's Blood Drive is the largest donation program at Sound Shore. DON’T MISS OUT on Seder Sweetness! Library: Passover is a month away!  Our collection of Haggadas may offer t he inspiration that you need to "update" your family seder.  There a new haggadas that will be arriving next week, so please take a look.

Also from the Library: If you are looking for a new home for gently used children’s books that are no longer being read in you home, please consider the following. A children's book drive being sponsored by the Young Women's Committee from the Westchester Region of Hadassah. The "Gift of Reading" project will allow approx. 300 children ages 3-14 from the Mt. Vernon community to select gently used books at a free bookfair t his coming June. There is a collection box in the hallway outside of the Temple library for books that you might like to donate. Remember, please contact us at ltlibrary@larchmonttemple.orgwith any suggestions that you may have.

Last Chance: PASSOVER CANDY SALE!  We will be selling Barton’s kosher for Passover confections. This is a very important fundraiser for our school.  Please help us by sending in your order early.  If you have children in the Religious School, they will be bringing home an order form.  If you do not have children in our school and would like to order candy, please fill out the form below and return it to Larchmont Temple Religious School.  Your check made payable to LARCHMONT TEMPLE for the correct amount must accompany your order. Our personal consideration will be given to all orders, however large or small. Please let us take care of your Passover holiday needs and help our Religious School’s fund-raising effort.  Please help support the ongoing enrichment programs of our Religious School. All orders must be placed ASAP.  Remember to make your check payable to Larchmont Temple and drop your completed forms to Gabrielle in the Temple Office.

GOT YOUR INVITE YET? – In your mail this week you’ll find an invitation to celebrate on a milestone for Israel and Larchmont Temple on Saturday, May 17th –at the Annual Temple Benefit Event as we share in celebration of our 60th Birthdays.  As you can see, the Cultural Arts Committee has been hard at work planning a spectacular evening of art including emerging artists from the Bezalel Academy, music by Shira NYC, delicious Middle Eastern food and of course, singing and Israeli dancing.  

In addition, you’ll have a chance to say “Happy Birthday” to LT and Israel by taking out an ad in the Event Journal.  This will be LT’s only benefit this spring – an evening for celebrating our history, our present and our future.  Don’t wait!  Send in your RSVP now to ensure your place at this historic evening!
