Midnight Run
May. 10, 2006

Next Midnight Run is June 10th

Midnight Run is an inter-religious project where Larchmont Temple members work together with a local church to collect and deliver clothing and toiletries for the homeless community in Manhattan. Roughly every 6 weeks volunteers meet to organize the donated clothes and then to caravan into Manhattan to distribute them.

How you can be involved:

  • Donate clothing! We need men's large and extra large clothing (Please no children's clothes or dressy clothes.) The following items are needed for the next Midnight Run: Large to extra-large jeans, T-shirts, sweatpants, light parkas, sneakers, new men's large white socks and underwear. Also needed are travel-sized toiletries. Items can be dropped off in the designated bins at the end of the hallway in the Blum entrance on Willow Avenue.
  • Help sort clothing from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Larchmont Avenue Church.
  • Make soup or sandwiches to distribute to the homeless.
  • Come on a Run! We need drivers and their SUV's or station wagons to help deliver these supplies. A Run usually goes from 9 PM to 2 AM.
