Advocacy Group:Interested in readily accessible, up to date non-partisan information regarding current social justice issues? The Larchmont Temple Social Action Committee has formed an advocacy group to notify temple members about vital issues of interest to the Jewish community. If you'd like to be informed about pending legislation and how you might respond, e-mail the Social Action Chair, Jeff Rosenzweig at jeff.rosenzweig@earthlink.net. You will be part of a Larchmont Temple Advocacy Network and receive carefully selected information. Committee members include Selma Bernstein, Michele Greenburg, Marion and Bob Geller, Marlene Kolbert, Minna Immerman and Lynn Reichgott.

Religious Action Center: The Social Action Committee's advocacy efforts are often done in conjunction with The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC).  The RAC pursues social justice and religions liberty by mobilizing the American Jewish community and serving as its advocate in the nation's capital. It provides opportunities to stay informed and to participate in the democratic process. A particularly effective service is their Weekly Legislative Update.  This is one weekly email, sent when Congress is in session, highlighting key legislative issues and how you can take action.

Sign up for their action alerts or learn more about the RAC at www.rac.org.
