Sunday, April 12, 10-11:30 AM, Social Hall SOLD OUT!! We will enjoy a gastronomic feast of lox, herring, whitefish salad and more, catered by R & D while Mark Federman, author of "Russ and Daughters: Reflections and Recipes from the House That Herring Built" shares his family's story of the legendary Lower East Side smoked fish and appetizing store. Copies will be available ($20). Mark will sign them after his presentation. Russ and Daughters Cafe was listed as the #2 Best New Restaurant of 2014 by the NY Times.
By the end of March, every LT family will receive a yellow candle in the mail to commemorate Yom HaShoah on Wednesday, April 15, (worship service at 7 PM). If you do not receive a candle by April 1 and would like one, please contact Ian Spier at 914-949-5161.
Yellow Candle Artwork Contest--The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, as part of their national Yom HaShoah candle program seeks candle holder design submissions from teens ages 13-18. Prizes will be awarded for top 3 designs selected. For more information, click here.
